Course Overview
The Women in Agribusiness Leadership Programme equips women professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders with the strategic, managerial, and leadership skills required to lead, scale, and influence agribusinesses and agricultural value chains. The programme addresses structural and social barriers facing women in agriculture while strengthening leadership capacity, decision-making confidence, and access to markets, finance, and networks. The course integrates leadership development, agribusiness management, gender-responsive strategies, and personal growth within African and global agrifood contexts. It aligns with Agenda 2063, the SDGs (especially SDG 5 and SDG 8), CAADP, national gender and agribusiness strategies, and women’s economic empowerment frameworks. Participants gain practical tools to advance from participation to leadership in agribusiness enterprises, cooperatives, and institutions.
