Course Overview
This course covers two interconnected but distinct disciplines: (1) Project Analysis & Management (focusing on how to analyse, plan, control and close projects effectively) and (2) Contract Management (focusing on how to negotiate, structure, execute and monitor contracts that underpin project delivery. Participants will engage in theory, practical tools, case-studies, and hands-on exercises so that they can lead projects and contract relationships with confidence and control.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Perform rigorous project analysis: define scope, objectives, requirements, risks, resources, cost & schedule.
- Use project management tools and techniques across the project lifecycle (initiation → planning → execution → monitoring & control → closure).
- Understand the role of contracts in project delivery: contract types, clauses, responsibilities, risk allocation.
- Manage the contract lifecycle: drafting, negotiation, execution, performance monitoring, amendments, closure.
- Integrate contract management into project management (i.e., how contracts affect project performance and vice-versa).
