Course Overview
The Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) & Early Warning Systems Programme equips participants with the strategic, technical, and institutional skills required to anticipate, prevent, and reduce disaster risks, and to design and operate effective early warning systems that save lives and protect livelihoods. The programme shifts the focus from reactive disaster response to proactive risk reduction and resilience building, in line with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, Agenda 2063, and the SDGs. The course integrates disaster risk science, governance, and technology with practical planning and coordination mechanisms.
