Course Overview
The Conflict Analysis & Mediation Programme is designed to equip participants with advanced analytical, diplomatic, and mediation skills required to prevent, manage, and resolve conflicts within the African context. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of conflict dynamics, the African Union’s Peace and Security Architecture (APSA), negotiation methodologies, and inclusive peacemaking frameworks. Participants will gain practical knowledge in conflict diagnosis tools, multistakeholder analysis, mediation planning, and agreement drafting. The programme draws on real African case studies and AU mediation practices, preparing participants to effectively support peace initiatives, facilitate dialogue processes, and contribute to sustainable conflict resolution efforts across the continent.

- Apply AU Peace and Security Architecture (APSA) frameworks in conflict prevention, early warning, and response.

- Conduct negotiations using interest-based approaches, including BATNA, ZOPA, and conflict de-escalation techniques.
