Course Overview
The AU Institutions & Regional Integration Programme provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the structures, mandates, and functions of the African Union and its Regional Economic Communities (RECs). The course examines continental governance frameworks, institutional coordination mechanisms, policy harmonisation processes, and Africa’s integration agenda under Agenda 2063. Participants will gain practical skills in navigating AU organs, drafting regional policy instruments, supporting harmonisation initiatives, and strengthening cooperation between national, regional, and continental institutions. The programme draws on real AU decision-making processes, REC experiences, and current integration challenges—preparing professionals to effectively advance Africa’s unity, governance, and development aspirations.
